Version Glacier Ocean Suicune was the first stretching layout to be used in the Pokemon Desert Shadow. The layout was created in celebration of the completed recoding of the Pokemon Desert Shadow user system on October 19, 2009. Overall, the layout was created to be more readable and flexible than its predecessor, Version HeartGold, a "pretty" but sometimes blinding and often inflexible in its rigid width layout.
At the time of the creation of Version Glacier Ocean Suicune, the Pokemon Desert Shadow was still yet to be officially released despite the fact that the site had already undergone a layout change. In this sense, it could be said that the layouts made in this period of Desert Shadow were for "testing" purposes. However, in reality, the site overall was well-tended before its official release due to an influx of visitors in the form of webmistress Shadow Files' friends.
