The Comings of PokeDS

I've been working hard lately to get my new web comic, Desert Shadow, and at three updates a week, I have quite a few comics ahead of me to make.

I'm going to focus on producing a year's worth of updates this summer, but throughout the schoolyear, I want to work on completely remodeling and reprogramming PokeDS. Basically, the site as it is is very disorganized which I imagine makes it hard for new visitors to understand where all the important stuff is.

My basic plan would be to release a new version of PokeDS near the end of Summer of 2011, probably after the release of Pokemon Black and White.

This new PokeDS is planned to encompass some main changes:

  1. The promised MyPokeTracker will be made and shall be the center of the new "interactive" portion of PokeDS.

  2. The Pokedex and all articles will be organized together into one major "help center."

  3. All interactive portions of PokeDS like the forums and Pokemon Mysteries will be integrated together into the new "interactive" portion of PokeDS.

  4. I will work on drawing and painting more of my own custom artwork to decorate portions of the site.

  5. The RPG, although a nice idea, will probably be totally dropped until further notice.

Hopefully, overall, these changes will help make PokeDS much more user friendly and clear to new visitors.

Until then, there's a long ways off, and I thank you all who have been visiting very much!

In the meantime, you can use our Pokedex to look up Pokemon information, post on the forums, or visit my web comic, which shall regularly update on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
